The Perspective 05.21.24
Hello, MCBS Family!
I am currently writing from Full Sail's Backlot in the Heart of the Creative Experience, where members of HOF's Dream Team are breaking down for the day. Hall of Fame day three is officially in the books. I am hot, I am exhausted, but mostly, I am inspired. So far, the most valuable part of my first Hall of Fame experience has been the wisdom and knowledge imparted to me by all of the fantastic alums attending. By far, the MCBS alumni mixer/panel was my favorite part of the day. It was such an incredible opportunity to hear advice from successful and intelligent women who started in the same place as me. A huge thank you to the faculty who helped organize the event for us students; it was truly remarkable. What was your favorite part of day 3?
Looking ahead to tomorrow, I see some really impressive stuff happening. If you know me, you know my passions are very literature/writing heavy. I love to write, but I have been in a slump creatively lately, which is why I am so excited about the agenda I have planned for tomorrow. Let's get into it!
I will start my day at @10 am in Full Sail Building 3B-106 for Jonny Greco's Lecture, How to Ideate with Energy: Brainstorming for Maximum Creative Output. Jonny Greco has the best job title I have ever heard. He is the Chief Energy Officer for Shine Entertainment. How cool is it that your job is to create vibes?
Later, after a quick trip to the food trucks, you will be able to find me in Full Sail Building 3B-113 @12 for a panel, Life After Full: The Creative Process and What To Do When It Gets Blocked. The panel will include some wonderful alums, including MCBS's own Rebecca Groh! I am so excited to hear what wonderful wisdom they have to offer to help me get out of this creative slump.
To end my day with some writing, I will be attending Hall of Fame 13 inductee Devan Renea's workshop, Crafting Great Dialogue and Dynamic Characters. The workshop is in Full Sail Building 3B-136 @2 pm. I am a huge fan of all of the projects that Renea has worked on. I am so excited to meet her. Hopefully, I'll have the will to remain professional and not fangirl.
What are you most excited about for Day 4?
