The Perspective: 05.20.24

Hey everybody!

How are we feeling after day one? There’s truly no better feeling than coming home to a cool, quiet apartment after spending a full day in that Florida sun!

As an MCBS student, once I graduate I have goals set to be in the media industry, specific to social media. Whether it be strategizing, producing or organizing I want to be a well-rounded creative with various strengths. The lineup I have tomorrow helps me expand my mind and abilities with new information from industry professionals.

Tomorrow is my busiest day and I can’t wait to jump into it. Kicking off at noon, I’m attending the “Navigating Multi-Generational Workspaces” panel in building 3B-112. It is led by our Hall of Fame 14 Inductee: Michael La Plante, assisted by other industry professionals. It dives into keeping ages from Gen. Z to Boomers supported and satisfied with the flow in the work space.

After that, at 2pm in the same room, there is a lecture/worskshop titled “Coping with Creatives”. Navigating the creative space can be challenging and draining, finding healthy coping mechanisms is crucial to maintaining a successful, everlasting career. It’s led by three past H.O.F. inductees and I’m excited to hear their insights.

Finally, I’m ending my day in the design district with “How to Use Design to Communicate Effectively”. At 4pm in 3C-115, former MCBS grad Rebecca Groh is leading a lecture/workshop breaking down the art to communication through design. She’s an extremely talented, kind individual and I’m thrilled to be learning from her.

Look out for me and tweet our socials @WeAreMCBS with YOUR top 3 Picks!
