Industry: Education
Needs Assistance With: Photography, Social Media
Number of Students Needed: 1
Project Description
We are creating a series of video classes that will guide teachers through the process of producing The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (based off the Narnia book series by world renowned author C.S. Lewis) for middle school students. Cindy Lowa, the middle school theater arts teacher at Windermere Preparatory School, is producing the play with a March 2017 performance date, and we need help creating a series of video classes that will walk theater instructors through the entire production process. The classes will cover character development, acting techniques, set design, lighting, costumes, tech skills, and performance, training both teachers and students on how to successfully complete all aspects of the production.
We need a social media team to conduct a social media fundraising campaign for the project using Facebook (and Instagram if desired).
Job Description
The project lasts 2 months. The first month is for pre-launch prep, and the second month is to run the campaign. Pre-launch prep includes creating a type of story board for social media (focusing on telling the story of we are doing). Participants will gather images, write text, and schedule posts on Hootsuite (one per day). They will also make a list of friends, family, and organizations who can be ambassadors for our cause by donating and asking 2 of their friends to donate as well. They can also reach out to local businesses and parents of the students involved in the project to see if we can get a matching funds donation commitment. Throughout the campaign, they will also send regular emails or texts about campaign updates to ambassadors and supporters.
The campaign will last 30 days with one post a day and regular reminders to ambassadors and their followers to follow up with thanks and shout outs to donors who have given and campaign reports on social media.
The team is more than welcome to come up with additional ideas on how to maximize the fundraising campaign and implement them.
