In January of 1863, the Emancipation Proclamation issued that all enslaved people “shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.” This was not delivered to enslaved people until June 19, 1865. Juneteenth became the holiday giving honor to the day that marked the effective end of slavery in the United States.

"Friday Blend-ish" is a virtual MCBS family gathering. Online and campus students are welcome.

Students are asking to have time with you all! They love their MCBS "parents". Come if you can!
